What you'll do
- Architect and scale distributed backend systems in Golang — microservices, event-driven pipelines, and transaction processing at high throughput
- Own core fintech infrastructure: payment orchestration, ledger engines, remittance, and reconciliation services
- Drive backend architecture decisions across teams and define standards that raise the engineering bar
- Lead initiatives in scalability, fault tolerance, observability, and reliability
- Mentor senior engineers and contribute meaningfully to technical direction and roadmap
- Translate compliance, risk, and product requirements into resilient, production-grade systems
- Participate in architecture reviews, incident retrospectives, and long-term platform evolution
What we're looking for
Must-have:
- 8-12 years of backend engineering experience, with at least 5 years in Golang experience in high-scale or distributed systems environments
- Proven background designing microservices and event-driven architectures
- Deep domain knowledge in fintech — payments, ledger, wallets, banking, or transaction systems
- Solid command of scalability, concurrency, system design, and performance optimization
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and cloud-native infrastructure
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, observability tooling, and modern backend engineering practices
- Clear communicator who works well across engineering, product, risk, and compliance
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with payment orchestration or financial reconciliation systems
- Exposure to PCI-DSS, regulatory compliance, or security-sensitive fintech environments
- Track record of mentoring engineers or leading technical direction
- Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry / SRE practices
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering or platform engineering initiatives
