We are looking for a Sr. Specialist, Sourcing & NPI Hardgoods to join our team. In this role you will lead sourcing and procurement activities for hardgoods, with a focus on supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives. The Sr. Specialist will act as the primary supplier owner, driving supplier performance and building strategic partnerships to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery. This position requires expertise in developing sourcing strategies, managing cost frameworks, mitigating supply chain risks, and leveraging digital tools and ERP systems for data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Southeast Asian supplier landscape and a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions.

This position reports to the Sr Manager, Sourcing & NPI Hardgoods and is based out of our Ho Chi Minh office.

As the Sr. Sourcing Specialist, Sourcing & NPI Procurement Hardgoods, you will have an opportunity to:

Supplier Ownership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the primary supplier owner, leading cross-functional teams to manage supplier relationships and drive performance.
  • Partner with internal teams to support New Product Introduction (NPI) development and ensure timely execution.

Sourcing Strategy

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and establish strong partnerships.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of the Southeast Asian supplier landscape, including regulatory environments, cultural nuances, and logistics infrastructure.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with key suppliers to foster innovation and agility.

Cost Optimization

  • Establish and maintain a robust cost framework for each product category.
  • Perform cost analysis and benchmarking to identify savings opportunities.
  • Manage RFQ processes and negotiate competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product designs and reduce costs.

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate financial, legal, and supply chain risks, including disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.
  • Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions.
  • Demonstrate agility in responding to supply chain challenges and pivot sourcing strategies as needed.

Digital Tools, ERP Systems & Data Analysis

  • Utilize data analytics to track KPIs and identify trends.
  • Prepare regular reports on sourcing performance, cost savings, and supplier metrics.
  • Leverage experience with sourcing platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer) and ERP systems.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Sourcing and Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing and supply base management, preferably in the Hardgoods industry (helmet, goggles, protection etc.).
  • Strong understanding of product costing, sourcing, and negotiation techniques.
  • Strong in supplier development and drive continuous performance improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Willing to be relocated internationally according to business needs
  • Professional certificates (CPM, CPSM) is a plus.

  • Experience in conducting factory audits and assessing supplier capabilities.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in a Southeast Asian language (e.g., Vietnamese, Thai, Bahasa) is a plus.
