Company Description:
Ascentium's client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager/ Project Manager to lead a large-scale aircraft hangar construction project at Phu Quoc Airport, Vietnam. The role will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery in terms of safety, quality, schedule, budget, and overall project performance.
Role Description:
The Senior Project Manager will report to the Project Director and take overall responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of the project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead overall project strategy, planning, execution, and delivery.
- Manage master schedules, budgets, resources, project risks, and critical milestones.
- Oversee design and engineering activities, ensuring constructability, cost effectiveness, and compliance with relevant aviation standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage procurement strategies, contractor selection, contract negotiations, and vendor performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements throughout construction.
- Manage project financial performance, forecasting, cost control, change orders, claims, and contractual matters.
- Build strong relationships with airport authorities, regulators, clients, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Engineers, and other project team members.
- Act as the key escalation point for major project issues and drive timely resolution.
Qualification:
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager / Project Manager delivering large-scale and complex construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in airport, aviation, aircraft hangar, industrial, or other complex infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Strong experience managing the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through construction and completion.
- Solid knowledge of project planning, budgeting, cost control, procurement, contract management, risk management, and project delivery.
- Experience handling change orders, claims, contractual issues, and contractor performance.
- Familiarity with aviation-related standards such as ICAO, FAA, EASA, and relevant local regulatory requirements is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Phu Quoc, Vietnam for the project duration.
