Job Description

JD: Sr. Equipment Supervisor / Manager

Location: based in Hanoi, Vietnam

Job Purpose: This is a highly hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate will combine comprehensive equipment lifecycle management with strong, practical troubleshooting capabilities on the manufacturing floor. You will be responsible for leading the equipment team, driving technical innovations, and collaborating cross-functionally to maximize plant OEE and support capacity expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the full lifecycle management of plant manufacturing equipment, including installation alignment, commissioning acceptance, asset profiling, routine repairs, and the deep implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  2. Formulate, update, and maintain equipment-related documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance logs, overhaul schedules, and structured failure categorization reports.
  3. Lead the evaluation, selection, bidding, and technical assessment of new equipment to enhance overall manufacturing capacity configurations.
  4. Independently design and pitch equipment optimization proposals, integrate necessary internal/external resources, and drive project initiation through to execution.
  5. Champion technical innovations and equipment modifications to drive continuous improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  6. Maintain and optimize the equipment vendor database, establishing long-term, stable, and cost-effective strategic partnerships.
  7. Partner effectively with Process (ME), Production, Quality, and other teams, leading or contributing to equipment-related cross-functional improvement projects.
  8. Manage daily departmental operations, including task deployment, technical coaching/training, and performance evaluations.
  9. Execute temporary tasks or urgent assignments as requested by executive management.

Main Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or above in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Manufacturing, or related majors.
  2. 10+ years of manufacturing equipment lifecycle experience, with strong skills in asset governance, team development, cost control, and data-driven OEE optimization.
  3. Deeply familiar with manufacturing processes, automation systems, and lean manufacturing improvements.
  4. Exceptional cross-functional communication, strategic planning, and hands-on problem-solving skills.
  5. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
