Job Description

About the Role

The Specification Engineer is responsible for:

  • Developing specification activities with consultants and project owners to get OYH products specified in projects.
  • Providing technical support to Sales and Customers to ensure correct solution selection and application.

Responsibilities

1. Specification Activities

Build and maintain relationships with:

  • Consultants, designers, architects, project management units
  • Project owners and developers

Present OYH solutions for:

  • Waterproofing systems
  • Industrial flooring
  • Technical mortars and construction chemicals

Promote and push OYH products into:

  • Design specifications
  • Approved material lists and project documentation

Coordinate with the Sales team to:

  • Track specified projects
  • Support conversion from specification to sales

Conduct or support:

  • Technical seminars
  • Product presentations and training sessions

Collect market information about:

  • Competitors
  • Design trends
  • Technical requirements

2. Technical Support

Provide technical advice and solution support to:

  • Sales team
  • Customers
  • Consultants and project owners

Support:

  • System selection
  • Site condition evaluation
  • Technical proposals and method statements

Participate in:

  • Site visits
  • Mock-up/sample application when required

Support handling technical complaints and site issues.

And other tasks as assigned by the Company & Manager.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in: Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related majors

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in:

Construction materials, waterproofing, flooring, technical mortars or construction chemicals

Experience in Specification / Technical / Technical Sales is a strong advantage.

Required Skills

  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work with AutoCAD (read and modify drawings)
  • Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • English (able to read technical documents and communicate)
