Position: Specialist, Concept Design Management
Report to: Manager, Design Management
Overview:
Manage, monitor, review, control, and develop design solutions for all architectural design activities and design documentation related to the Company's projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate architectural and master planning design activities for the Company's development projects, working closely with design consultants to ensure approved quality, schedule, and budget are achieved.
- Collaborate with other design team members to review drawings and coordinate with architectural, master planning, and multidisciplinary design consultants to complete design documentation (drawings, specifications, design narratives, and technical guidelines) in compliance with applicable legal requirements, codes, and standards, while meeting the project development objectives established by the Board of Management. Resolve design conflicts across disciplines and work packages.
- Develop preliminary design concepts and planning parameters for new projects to support investment feasibility assessments during the pre-development stage.
- Follow management directives and provide regular updates to the Line Manager on design information, project progress, design status, potential risks, and key considerations related to ongoing design solutions.
- Recommend design parameters, technical solutions, and optimization proposals to the Line Manager and the Board of Management to enhance project efficiency and accelerate project delivery.
- Evaluate and recommend suitable construction materials, finishes, and equipment for the project, balancing quality, functionality, and cost-effectiveness, and submit recommendations to the Line Manager for review and approval.
- Maintain and organize all design-related records, including drawings, specifications, and supporting technical documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Design Management or a similar role.
- Basic proficiency in technical English, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and relevant professional software used for architectural design and project coordination.
Technical Competencies
- Sound knowledge of architectural design principles for residential developments, particularly high-rise apartment projects.
- Good understanding of current planning and architectural regulations, building codes, design standards, and statutory requirements.
