Role
The Spa Supervisor cum Trainer is responsible for overseeing daily spa operations while ensuring consistent service excellence through structured training and development of spa associates. This role supports the Spa Manager in maintaining brand standards, enhancing guest experience, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily spa operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery
- Lead and guide Spa Therapists to maintain luxury service standards and personalized guest experiences
- Conduct regular training sessions on treatment techniques, product knowledge, grooming, and service etiquette
- Develop and implement training plans, SOPs, and competency assessments for spa team members
- Monitor therapist performance and provide coaching, feedback, and development plans
- Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with brand standards and hygiene protocols
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and recovery actions professionally and promptly
- Coordinate scheduling of therapists to maximize productivity and guest satisfaction
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction training for new spa associates
- Maintain training records, reports, and compliance with learning & development requirements
- Collaborate with Spa Manager and other departments to enhance overall guest wellness experience
- Ensure spa facilities, equipment, and products are well-maintained and fully stocked
- Promote upselling of spa services and retail products to achieve revenue targets
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Spa Therapy, Wellness, Hospitality, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a luxury spa environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or training role
- Strong knowledge of spa treatments, massage techniques, and wellness concepts
- Proven experience in training delivery, coaching, and team development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Good command of English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage
- Professional appearance and grooming aligned with luxury hospitality standards
