About the Role
The Solution Architect will assess the current system landscape and propose high-level solution architecture aligned with business goals and system constraints. This role involves defining integration approaches and collaborating closely with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into feasible technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assess the current system landscape, including existing platforms, architecture, and integration capabilities.
- Propose high-level solution architecture aligned with business goals and system constraints.
- Define integration approaches between systems, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and maintainability.
- Evaluate and recommend suitable data architecture options (e.g., direct integration, data warehouse, data lake).
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into feasible technical solutions.
- Participate in workshops with stakeholders to gather insights, validate assumptions, and refine architectural direction.
- Identify technical risks, system dependencies, and constraints, providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Present architectural proposals and recommendations to stakeholders to support decision-making during the discovery phase.
Deliverables
- High-level solution architecture
- Integration architecture diagrams
- Data architecture proposal (with comparison of approaches)
- Technical risk assessment and recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a Solution Architect role.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in system architecture design, especially in integration and data architecture.
- Solid understanding of integration patterns and enterprise system design.
- Experience in data architecture approaches (data warehouse, data lake, data integration strategies).
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to assess complex systems and propose practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in banking/financial domain is highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work onsite in Singapore during the discovery phase.
