Solutions Architect

1. Job Description

• Lead the architecture design of large systems using modern microservices, APIs, and cloud technologies
• Design and review full database schemas (relational and non-relational), ensuring scalability, maintainability, and tenant isolation
• Integrate backend systems with AWS or Azure services such as EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, Cognito, Lambda, ...
• Ensure security from system design to source code level, following OWASP and cloud security best practices
• Join presales activities: analyze client requirements, propose technical solutions, create architecture diagrams and estimations
• Establish and maintain DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) and define infrastructure-as-code using tools like GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Terraform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA, PM, BA) to deliver high-quality, maintainable systems
• Review code, conduct technical interviews, and mentor mid/junior engineers

2. Requirement

Must have

• 5+ years of backend experience with Java (Spring Boot) or equivalent enterprise stack
• 2+ years in tech lead or solutions architecture roles, especially in microservices-based systems
• Proven experience designing relational/non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS)
• Experience with container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with DDD, hexagonal architecture, or clean architecture
• Monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Sentry, ...)
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ...)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure a plus)
• CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab
• Skilled at drawing diagrams (system architecture diagram, sequence diagram, infrastructure diagram, data flow diagram, ...)
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and system-level security design
• Can mentor team members and work with PMs on realistic estimations and delivery planning

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or similar certifications
• Good knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework: cost optimization, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and operational excellence
• Experience with and have deep insights into the newest technology trends (e.g. AI/ML, IoT, RPA, etc.)
• Knowledge of other programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby
• Experience writing technical proposals or participating in presales activities
• (PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch).
