Solution Architect (.NET) - English Basic
Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect (.NET) to join a strategic digital transformation project for the next generation of the Family Register System used by City Halls in Japan.
The project aims to modernize a legacy government platform through:
- Migration from legacy systems to a cloud-based architecture.
- Enhancement of UI/UX and user experience.
- Transformation to Web API & Microservices architecture.
- Improved maintainability and scalability.
- Reduction of operational risks from legacy technologies.
- Strengthened security, privacy, and system availability.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise-scale applications.
- Define technical standards, architecture governance, and best practices.
- Guide development teams in implementing scalable and secure solutions.
- Design cloud-native applications using Microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Review application architecture, source code, and technical designs.
- Drive CI/CD adoption and DevOps best practices.
- Ensure system performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Support technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
RequirementsTechnical Skills
- 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a Solution Architect or Technical Lead role.
- Strong expertise in C# and .NET technologies:
- .NET Framework
- .NET Core / .NET 8+
- ASP.NET MVC
- ASP.NET Core
- Web API
- WPF (preferred)
- Experience designing and implementing Microservices Architecture.
- Strong experience with VueJS (Vue 3) or modern front-end frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and architectural best practices.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Unit Testing frameworks:
- NUnit
- xUnit
- JUnit (preferred)
- Strong database knowledge:
- Oracle
- SQL Server
- MySQL
- Azure SQL
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Understanding of security, scalability, high availability, and performance optimization.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to mentor development teams and provide technical leadership.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Good English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale government, public sector, or enterprise systems.
- Experience working with Japanese customers or offshore development projects.
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Architecture, and Container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Azure certifications are highly desirable.
