Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a qualified Software Test Engineer – OS & Firmware with experience in operating system image validation, firmware, and driver testing. This role is responsible for the verification and qualification of OS images, firmware, and drivers across various subsystems, as well as the development of tools and infrastructure to support automated testing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and execute test plans for OS images, firmware, and drivers.
- Develop and maintain automation tools and test infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, hardware engineers, software engineers, industrial designers, component engineers, and program managers.
- Apply black box and grey box testing methodologies.
- Create and maintain test documentation, develop and execute test cases, debug automation scripts and test failures.
- Contribute to process and methodology improvements.
- Take initiative in task planning and scheduling.
Qualifications:
- 4-6+ years work-related experience.
- Relevant technical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Have exposure to Designing/Testing software applications.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, Master's degree
- may substitute for a portion of the related experience, or equivalent work experience/training.
- Good understanding on Windows operation system architecture.
- Good English communication skill both oral and written required.
Preferred Experiences:
- Preferred experience in testing (firmware, drivers, OS, …)
- Preferred experience in creation of automation and SW tools for validation of drivers/fw
- Preferred experience in hardware prototype bring-up, debug, fault detection, failure analysis, and yield improvement.
