About The Role
We are looking for a
Software QC Engineer with
2–3 years of experience in software testing, strong analytical thinking, and a solid understanding of software systems.
This position focuses primarily on
Manual Quality Control, including test planning, test case design, functional testing, API testing, integration testing, regression testing, and defect investigation.
We highly value candidates with a
strong technical mindset and hands-on experience in Test Automation. Candidates who can read source code, understand system behavior, perform basic technical investigations, and contribute to automation initiatives will be highly appreciated.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing & Quality Control
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to identify potential risks and test scenarios.
- Design and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, test data, and test checklists.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-environment testing for web applications.
- Conduct API testing and backend validation.
- Verify business logic, data flow, system behavior, and edge cases.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform regression testing to ensure defects are properly resolved and existing functionality is not impacted.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to clarify requirements and investigate issues.
- Participate in release validation and ensure product quality before production deployment.
Technical & Automation Contribution
- Read and understand basic application source code to support defect investigation and validation.
- Analyze application behavior and work with Developers to identify potential root causes of issues.
- Perform database validation and verify data integrity using SQL.
- Use technical tools and scripts to improve testing efficiency.
- Participate in Test Automation activities, including maintaining or developing automated test cases where applicable.
- Contribute to improving test coverage, testing methodologies, QA processes, and overall product quality.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Software Development Lifecycle.
Requirements
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Control / QA.
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
- Experience testing web applications and/or backend systems.
- Experience in API Testing and basic database validation.
- Experience with Test Automation is highly preferred.
- Candidates with strong Manual Testing experience and the ability to understand technical concepts are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Good understanding of:
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Test Case Design & Testing Techniques
- RESTful APIs
- SQL Databases
- Git Version Control
- Basic programming concepts
- Ability to:
- Analyze requirements and identify potential product risks.
- Design effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Investigate and troubleshoot software issues.
- Read and understand basic source code.
- Perform API testing and database validation.
- Communicate clearly with Developers and Product teams during technical investigations.
Automation Experience — Preferred
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation testing tool/framework such as:
- Playwright
- Cypress
- Selenium
- Experience with API automation is a plus.
- Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript / TypeScript or Python.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Familiarity with automation framework structure and test execution is highly valued.

- Experience testing modern web applications.
- Exposure to applications built with Node.js, ReactJS, and Python.
- Experience with tools such as Postman, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jira, or similar testing tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience participating in CI/CD and release processes.
- GitHub portfolio, personal projects, or experience building automation test scripts is a plus.
