As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will design, build, and scale automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API layers. You will embed deeply with cross-functional engineering teams, utilizing modern automation frameworks alongside AI-assisted testing tools to drive test generation, speed up regression cycles, and ensure robust platform resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web applications (Angular + ASP.NET) and backend microservices/APIs.
- Leverage AI-assisted development and testing practices (e.g., AI-driven test case generation, automated mock generation, prompt-based script creation) to maximize automation efficiency.
- Implement end-to-end (E2E), API (REST / SOAP / HL7 FHIR), cross-browser, and mobile (PWA / Ionic / Capacitor) automated test suites using Playwright (TypeScript) and xUnit (C#).
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps) for instant PR validation and regression checks.
- Perform database validation and data flow verification using SQL Server / T-SQL.
- Participate in peer code reviews for test automation scripts and collaborate with developers to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
- Help establish standardized QA practices, knowledge sharing, and test documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
- 8+ years of experience in software test automation development.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to assist in test script writing, refactoring, or scenario generation.
- Strong expertise with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Solid programming capability in C# for backend automation and unit/integration testing (xUnit / NUnit).
- Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP API testing, including JSON/XML validation.
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL for backend data validation.
- Practical experience integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and shift-left QA principles.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience testing healthcare data interoperability formats (HL7 FHIR).
- Experience with mobile testing (Ionic / Capacitor / Android / iOS) and offline PWA storage (Dexie.js / IndexedDB).
- Familiarity with load and performance testing tools (JMeter, K6, Playwright performance modules).
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes environments.
