Job Description

WHY WE NEED THIS POSITION

  • Social platforms today are driven by conversations, not just content. Audiences expect brands to listen, understand, and engage in real-time discussions, rather than simply publishing scheduled posts.
  • To remain culturally relevant and emotionally connected with Gen Z, we need someone who can go beyond mere content execution. This person should actively immerse themselves in online communities, decode behavioral patterns, and engage in authentic conversations.

ROLE & MISSION

  • Ensuring the brand participates meaningfully in relevant social conversations.
  • Translating cultural trends and online behaviors into actionable content direction.
  • Maintaining a consistent and culturally relevant tone of voice across platforms.
  • Identifying reactive opportunities quickly and executing within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Building sustainable community growth with a positive sentiment.

In short, this position aims to help the brand shift from simply managing social channels to truly belonging within the communities we seek to serve.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Community Immersion & Conversation Participation

2.Platform & Tone of Voice Management

  • Manage the platform's fan page and social media channels.
  • Build and maintain the tone of voice and image for these channels.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand's characteristics: respecting oneself and individual values in the workplace.

3.Content Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with the Creative team to develop monthly/quarterly content plans.
  • Propose a content series revolving around the communities
  • Content direction should be based on real-world trends and ongoing conversations on social media, not just on pre-existing plans.

4.Trend & Cultural Radar

  • Follow TikTok, Threads, Facebook, and LinkedIn to stay updated.
  • Discover opportunities for the brand to engage in conversations naturally.
  • Suggest reactive content or community action within 24–72 hours.

5.Performance & Insight

  • Monitor KPIs related to engagement, sentiment, and community growth.

  • Provide regular reports with a strategic perspective.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in social or community management.
  • Has a deep understanding of and is actively engaged in Gen Z. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with brands targeting Gen Z.
  • Regularly reads discussion groups, follows threads, stays updated on TikTok trends, and enjoys workplace memes.
  • Capable of making intelligent comments, capturing the overall vibe, and avoiding criticism.
  • Skilled in analyzing insights from genuine community conversations.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • High cultural sensitivity (ability to gauge community sentiment).
  • Quick responses to trends.
  • Strong comment-writing skills – concise yet insightful.
  • Ownership and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

SUCCESS INDICATORS IN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS
