About The Role
Our SLT Debug Engineer requires a background in server class systems with focus on processor SoC manufacturing test. Your goal is to deliver high quality products to customers, identifying and debugging any issues with yield, quality, or test time in the manufacturing test flow.
What You'll Achieve
  • Collaborate with a global team of engineers and technicians
  • Drive system level failures to root cause or enhanced ATE test coverage
  • Design and execute experiments in both the lab and factory environments
  • Leverage automation tools to collect volume failing data and prioritize fails for analysis
  • Work with the platform & Firmware teams to ensure all required features are available for coverage and diagnostics
  • Work with the lab team with test systems, tools, and lab equipment to fully analyze issues
  • Influence design team for debug and coverage features in next generation silicon
  • Work closely with the DFT, verification, emulation and post silicon validation teams on test coverage
  • Drive continuous improvement by leverage learning from the current product to the next
  • Drive process improvements in the end-to-end process (both design and manufacturing)
  • Direct in-depth team analysis including voltage/frequency shmoos over temperature, characterization of power measurement features, guard-band analysis, etc.
About You
  • Minimum of 8 years related work experience
  • Experience in processor system level validation -- CPU cores, DDR, PCIe
  • Experience in processor manufacturing SLT
  • Experience with software programming in Python
  • Technical project management
  • Processor characterization, ATE speed/power sort, and guard-banding experience
  • Good understanding of the verification and emulation environment/methodology
  • Experience with taking high performance CPU ICs from 1st silicon to volume production
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers and signal generators
  • Familiarity with Arm based server chip architecture is a plus
  • Strong understanding of bare metal processor testing (CPU and multi-CPU cache coherency)
  • General DFT methodology understanding for both logic and high speed I/O a plus
  • Exceptional problem solving capability and data analysis skills.
  • Proficient software development and implementation skills on Linux
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
