JOB DESCRIPTION:Sitecore Developer
Location: Remote Eastern Standard Time
1. Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sitecore Developer for a 6-month remote contract, with a preference for candidates available during EST hours for a US-based client.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Sitecore WCM implementation, ASP.NET MVC, C#, and experience working on large-scale projects with extensive customizations. This role requires a self-driven professional who can work both independently and collaboratively while ensuring high-quality deliverables. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing web solutions built on the Microsoft technology stack, leveraging Azure, ADO, and modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular.
2. Must have skills for Sitecore Developer Role
- Sitecore Expertise:
- Strong hands-on experience with Sitecore versions 8.x 10.x
- Proficiency in Helix architecture and best practices Experience with Sitecore SXA and Headless (JSS)
- Backend Development:
- ASP.NET MVC & C# (8+ years)
- Proficiency in Sitecore Pipelines, Workflows, and Custom Modules
- Experience in RESTful API development and integration
- Search & Caching:
- Solr Cloud experience (Master/Slave concepts, indexing, query optimizations)
- Understanding of Sitecore caching mechanisms for performance optimization
- Automation & DevOps:
- Experience in PowerShell scripting for Sitecore automation
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control
- Sitecore Personalization & EXM:
- Experience with Sitecore Experience Manager (EXM) and email campaign workflows
- Strong understanding of Sitecore data queries and personalization strategies
- Front-End Development:
- Exposure to JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Next.js
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and jQuery for component customization
- Problem-Solving & Performance Optimization:
- Ability to identify technical issues and propose efficient solutions
- Experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging Sitecore applications
3. Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance Sitecore-based web applications, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement custom solutions within Sitecore.
- Utilize Azure and ADO for cloud deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and integrate RESTful web services for seamless backend communication.
- Work with Angular and other front-end technologies for interactive UI development.
- Ensure best practices in code quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in Sitecore projects.
4. Preferred Qualifications:
- Sitecore certification is a plus.
- Experience with Helix architecture and Sitecore best practices.
- Familiarity with Headless CMS and Sitecore JSS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile development environments.
