We are seeking an experienced Shopper Account Manager to lead key client relationships and shopper marketing initiatives across Vietnam for a key beverage brand, within a below-the-line (BTL) and shopper marketing agency environment.
This role is responsible for owning senior client relationships, guiding shopper and BTL strategy, and ensuring the successful delivery of retail, POS, and activation work across Vietnam's complex and fast-moving retail ecosystem.
Fluency in English is essential, as this role requires daily interaction with local clients, partners, and internal teams, as well as collaboration with regional and global stakeholders.
This is a client facing role for someone who deeply understands Vietnam's shopper landscape, agency delivery, and how to balance strategy, creativity, and execution at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Leadership & Relationship Management
- Act as the day-to-day lead for key shopper and BTL client in Vietnam.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Lead client conversations across strategy, briefing, delivery, and performance.
- Confidently manage scope, timelines, budgets, and expectations.
- Serve as a client advisor on shopper marketing, retail activation, and POS strategy within the Vietnam market.
Shopper & BTL Strategy (Vietnam-Focused)
- Guide the development of shopper and BTL strategies tailored to Vietnam's unique retail and e-commerce landscape.
- Partner with strategy and creative teams to shape effective retail, POS, and activation solutions.
- Ensure briefs are clear, strategically grounded, and culturally relevant for the Vietnam market.
- Apply strong understanding of modern trade, traditional trade, e-commerce, O2O, and platform-led retail environments.
Account & Commercial Leadership
- Own the commercial health of assigned accounts, including revenue, margin, and scope control.
- Identify organic growth opportunities within existing client relationships.
- Support new business initiatives within Vietnam when required.
- Ensure delivery is efficient, scalable, and commercially sound.
Delivery & Internal Leadership
- Lead cross-functional agency teams across creative, studio, production, and operations.
- Ensure work is delivered on time, on brief, and to a consistently high standard.
- Anticipate risks and resolve issues before they impact delivery or client confidence.
- Act as a calm, authoritative leader in fast-paced and complex delivery environments.
Regional & Global Collaboration:
- Act as a bridge between Vietnam-based teams and regional/global stakeholders.
- Confidently present work and updates in English.
- Ensure Vietnam market needs are clearly communicated and understood within regional and global programs.
Experience & Background:
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in shopper marketing, BTL, or integrated agency environments.
- Proven experience as a Shopper Account Manager or equivalent.
- Strong background in shopper marketing, retail activation, POS, and BTL campaigns.
- Deep understanding of Vietnam's retail, shopper, and e-commerce ecosystem.
- Demonstrated experience managing senior client stakeholders in Singapore.
- Fluent in English required, Local Vietnam Language
- Beverage, retail, or global brand experience strongly preferred.
