Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Setup & Operations to lead the establishment, expansion and end-to-end operations of our EV charging infrastructure in overseas markets. This role oversees technical deployment, on-ground setup, operational excellence, system reliability, and cost optimization across multiple international locations.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, external partners, OEMs, and local authorities to build a scalable, safe, and efficient charging network aligned with the company's global strategy.
WORKING LOCATION: THE PHILIPPINES
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the setup, operation, technical functions, and technology systems of the EV charging station network nationwide.
- Ensure operational stability, safety, efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Conduct research, lead training initiatives, and participate in talent acquisition.
- Evaluate employee competencies, develop staff, and plan succession for key positions.
- Build a strong organizational culture and maintain a positive working environment.
- Develop, manage, and control budgets and operational expenses.
- Communicate, guide, and enforce compliance with internal regulations, policies, and CNPQ standards.
- Develop strategies, plans, and processes to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operation of charging stations.
- Manage and monitor project progress and quality for nationwide charging station deployments.
- Coordinate resources and teams across technical, operations, and technology functions.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Propose and implement technological solutions and process improvements to optimize costs, enhance productivity, and elevate customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal departments, partners, and regulatory authorities on technical, operational, maintenance, and network expansion matters.
- Provide reports and relevant information as required by senior leadership and authorities.
- Conduct inspections to promptly detect and prevent violations within the department.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by senior management.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 8–10+ years of experience in technical operations, energy systems, EV charging, or large-scale infrastructure; minimum 3 years in senior leadership.
- Deep understanding of EV charging standards, electrical safety, and CPO/EMSP operational models.
- Proven experience leading multi-site or multi-country operations projects.
- Advantage: Proven track record of launching or expanding new business in ASIA.
- Strong understanding of the EV ecosystem, renewable energy, or infrastructure development is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in English and other local dialects is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the country and occasionally across Southeast Asia.
