Job Description

Great workplace design starts with understanding people.

At Huynchi, we believe a workplace should do more than look good.

It should support how people work, connect and collaborate. It should express the organization's identity, respond to operational realities, and continue to create value long after the project is completed.

We are looking for a Senior Workplace Designer who can turn business needs, human insights and project constraints into thoughtful, meaningful workplace solutions.

This is a hands-on design role for someone who can take real ownership of projects, develop ideas from early concept through delivery, present confidently to clients, and work closely with an integrated Design & Build team.

We value designers who are curious, thoughtful and willing to question the obvious answer in search of a better one.

What you will do

Understand before designing

  • Learn about the client's business, people, culture, brand and ways of working.
  • Ask the right questions to uncover what the brief may not say explicitly.
  • Translate client needs and user insights into clear workplace design opportunities.

Develop meaningful workplace solutions

  • Develop concepts, spatial strategies, layouts, design narratives, materials and client presentations.
  • Create environments that support employee experience, collaboration, wellbeing and productivity.
  • Balance design quality with functionality, flexibility, operational performance, budget and long-term value.

Take ownership from concept to delivery

  • Lead your design work through concept, development, coordination and construction.
  • Work closely with technical designers to translate ideas into coordinated and buildable solutions.
  • Stay involved during construction to resolve issues and protect design intent.

Work closely with clients and project teams

  • Present ideas clearly and explain the thinking behind design decisions.
  • Listen carefully to feedback and help clients navigate complex choices.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Project Management, Technical Design, MEPF, QS, Procurement and Site Teams.
  • Understand how design, cost, technical requirements and construction influence one another.
What we are looking for

You may be a strong fit if you have:

  • A degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Around 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in workplace, office or commercial interior design.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates clear thinking, design judgment and real problem-solving.
  • Experience taking meaningful responsibility for projects from concept through delivery.
  • Confidence presenting directly to clients and working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A good understanding of space planning, materials, detailing and interior construction.
  • The ability to use professional design and digital tools effectively across design, visualization, documentation and coordination.
  • Curiosity about workplace design, AI and emerging ways of working.
Creativity, human insight and AI-enabled workflows

At Huynchi, we believe the future of design belongs to professionals who can combine creativity, human understanding, technical judgment and technology.

We do not define a strong designer by mastery of a fixed list of software.

We are more interested in your ability to choose and use the right tools to think better, explore more possibilities, communicate clearly and deliver better work.

We encourage our designers to experiment with AI across research, ideation, visualization, communication, documentation and coordination.

AI should not replace design thinking.

It should give designers more capability to think, explore and create.

What matters to us

We are not looking for one particular design style.

We are looking for designers who can understand what is distinctive about each client and translate that understanding into a workplace that feels relevant to their people, culture, brand and business.

A strong portfolio matters, but we are equally interested in how you think and why you made the decisions behind the work.

Why Huynchi

At Huynchi, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work on meaningful workplace projects for multinational companies and leading enterprises.
  • Take real ownership rather than work only on isolated design tasks.
  • Stay involved from early client conversations through construction and completion.
  • Work closely with an integrated Design & Build team.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of how design connects with cost, construction, operations and business needs.
  • Experiment with AI and emerging technologies as part of the design process.
  • Contribute to Huynchi's evolving workplace design point of view.
