Senior VMware Engineer

Title: Senior VMware Engineer

Scope of work:

·      Research, Design, Implement, Operate, and Manage the VMware-based cloud platform.

·      Operation and Maintenance of VMware vCenter, ESXi and other VMware products.

·      Troubleshooting, Root cause analysis, and fixing problems.

·      Ensure systems are secure by implementing best practices for patch management and vulnerability management.

·      Create system documentation as needed, including architectural diagrams, operation process and data flowcharts.

·      Collaborate directly with vendors and partners to resolve technical and service issues.

Skills and Experience:

MUST:

·      Capability to research, design, implement, operate, and manage VMware vCenter, ESXi and other VMware products.

·      3+ years of experience as a VMware engineer.

·      3+ years of experience with VMware-based system or Cloud platform operation.

·      Experience and knowledge of Linux and Windows Server OS.

·      Good experience in networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP fundamentals.

·      Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across a complex organization.

·      Experience in working as part of a highly cross-functional global team.

·      Intermediate English.

BETTER TO HAVE:

·      Experience with VMware system over 30 ESXi hosts.

·      VMware Certified Professional.

·      Experience with vCloud Director, NSX, AVI and VCF.

·      Experience with automation, Ansible, Terraform.

·      Experience with routers, switches, dynamic routing and other network related equipment and technologies.
