Position: SENIOR TEST ENGINEER (Manual & Automation)
Domain: Finance (Product, Japan & Global market)
Salary range: up to 40M gross

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documents to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing for embedded software and backend systems.
- Execute test cases, document results, and track defects to closure using established QA processes.
- Ensure high product quality by identifying gaps, edge cases, and usability issues early in the development cycle.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API, backend services, and UI.
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enhance continuous testing and delivery.
- Analyze automation test results, troubleshoot failures, and optimize test stability and coverage.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and quality-focused discussions.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Maintain detailed and clear documentation for test cases, automation code, and quality processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- 6+ years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automation roles.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., ISTQB, PSM) is highly preferred.
- Strong experience with backend/API testing and tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.
- Solid hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JUnit/TestNG, Robot Framework, or equivalent.
- Experience with automation in API testing (e.g., REST Assured, Karate, Postman Newman, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Experience working with microservices, message-driven systems, or protocols such as Kafka/MQTT is a plus.
- Knowledge of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis) and ability to perform basic SQL queries for testing.
- Understanding software development processes, Agile/Scrum, and clean testing principles.
- Proactive mindset, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient communication and comprehension skills in English.
- Proficient communication in Japanese is a plus.
