Title: Senior System & Infrastructure Engineer (VMware & Storage)

Position Summary

·      We are looking for a Senior System & Infrastructure Engineer to operate and improve our VMware, server and enterprise Storage/SAN environments.

·      The engineer will act as an L3 escalation point, participate in the scheduled On-Call rotation, and may temporarily support shift operations when required due to staffing needs.

Scope of work:

·      Monitor, operate and troubleshoot VMware ESXi, vCenter, Windows/Linux servers and enterprise Storage/SAN systems.

·      Handle L3 incidents escalated by L2 engineers.

·      Perform incident recovery, root cause analysis and problem management.

·      Prepare implementation, validation and rollback plans for infrastructure changes.

·      Monitor system availability, capacity, performance and hardware health.

·      Perform approved patching, upgrades and preventive maintenance.

·      Maintain physical servers and infrastructure hardware, including HPE and Dell systems.

·      Coordinate with vendors for hardware failures and complex technical issues.

·      Maintain SOPs, system inventory, troubleshooting guides and known-error records.

·      Guide L2 engineers on routine checks, evidence collection and escalation.

·      Participate in the rotating L3 On-Call schedule.

·      Support operational improvement and infrastructure automation initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

•        At least 3 years of experience in System or Infrastructure Operations.

•        Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter.

•        Hands-on experience with enterprise Storage/SAN or NAS systems.

•        Good knowledge of Windows and Linux administration.

•        Experience troubleshooting server, virtualization and storage incidents in Production.

•        Understanding of storage concepts such as volume/LUN, zoning, multipathing, capacity and performance.

•        Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, NTP, SSH, SFTP and Syslog.

•        Good understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking fundamentals.

•        Experience with incident handling, RCA and change/rollback procedures.

•        Ability to write clear technical documentation and troubleshooting guides.

•        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•        Intermediate English communication skills.

•        Willingness to participate in the scheduled On-Call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

•        Experience with Veeam, Zabbix, SNMP or similar backup and monitoring tools.

•        Experience working with HPE, Dell or other enterprise server/storage platforms.

•        Basic exposure to OpenStack or private-cloud environments.

•        Experience supporting or mentoring L2 engineers.

•        Relevant VMware, Linux or Storage certification.

•        Basic scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Python or shell scripts.

Working Arrangement

•        Normal working hours: 09:00–17:30, Monday to Friday.

•        Scheduled L3 On-Call rotation outside normal working hours.

•        On-site working location: 87A Ham Nghi, Sai Gon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
