Senior System Administrator

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related specializations.

Working Experience

• 5+ years of experience in network and system management and administration.
• Experience in working in a Manufacturing environment

Abilities

• Strong knowledge of network operating systems (Windows Server) and data communication protocols and technologies.
• Demonstrated project planning, project management, documentation, problem- solving and work prioritization skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, including telephone techniques, listening skills, sense of urgency, and enthusiasm.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with end-users and management.
• Must be both team-oriented and self-motivated.
• Familiarity with the administration and support of voice communications.
• Culturally sensitive values diversity, able to understand and cooperate with other team members from different cultures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

IMPLEMENTATION AND SUPPORT OF COMPUTING AND NETWORK SERVICES (40%)

• Proactively manage and administer robust, high- availability network and servers supporting
• production applications.
• Recommend, collaborate, and support adherence to Corporate IT standards, policies, and procedures in accordance with best practices.
• Implement and support systems and network solutions according to our Corp standards, policies and procedures, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with the Corporate IT organization and the Asia IT organizations on the delivery and support of the global infrastructure and on Vietnam initiatives.
• Assist the Local System and Network admins on best practice techniques for design, implementation, management, and operations.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to provide systems and infrastructure support to the environment.
• Implement and maintain high availability features and disaster recovery plans to ensure network infrastructure resiliency and recoverability.
• Create and maintain design and configuration documentation and service records

PROJECT MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION (25%)

• Develop, coordinate, and manage multiple concurrent activities and projects. Meet project
• schedules/milestones. Delivers timely solutions within budgetary constraints and consistent with company standards.
• Conduct thorough research and evaluation on Information Technology projects or products to justify recommendation.
• Effectively communicate project expectations - scope, goals, deliverables, plans, issues to team members and project stakeholders. Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve project issues.

SERVICE DELIVERY (15%)

• Administrate and support of Network, Servers, Security and Desktops.
• Manage the availability, performance, and capacity of the services.
• Provide local end-user support on a timely basis and in accordance with organization standards.
• Frequent / appropriate communication to user/help desk, management, and team members as to the status of problems/issues. Update help desk documentation following resolution of problems.
• Recommend and adhere to department procedures, consistent with legal and statutory requirements and with industry best practices.

INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY & INTEGRITY (20%)

• Maintain the integrity of the computing and networking environment through appropriate backup strategies, vital record storage, and system security measures including:

1. Managing the security controls protecting the network, servers, and computing services.
2. Ensuring up to date versions of mal-ware (Antivirus, Spam Controls)

• Provide ongoing analysis of infrastructure for optimal operation, integrity, and stability. Define and implement effective operating procedures.
• Maintain disaster recovery capabilities to assure infrastructure recoverability. Periodically validate recovery procedures and maintain up to date procedures.
• Ensure site-wide compliance to regulatory controls and corporate IT policies/practices:

1. Our IT Framework controls and polices.
2. Licensed software use and reproduction.
3. Security
4. Change Management
