ROLE PURPOSE
Senior Strategy & Planning Manager is responsible for leading the company's business planning, performance management, and execution alignment across business units and functions.
This role acts as the central business planning hub, ensuring that business strategy, growth initiatives, operating plans, and execution priorities are translated into clear, aligned, and actionable plans and that these plans are actively used to steer day-to-day and quarterly business decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Business Planning & Operating Rhythm
- Lead annual business planning and quarterly re-forecast cycles, focusing on business priorities, growth drivers, and execution plans.
- Consolidate plans from business units and functions into a Company Business Plan with clear objectives, initiatives, milestones, and owners.
- Translate company strategy into concrete business initiatives, OKRs, and execution roadmaps.
- Ensure alignment between company priorities, BU plans, and functional execution.
2. Business Performance Management
- Own the business performance framework: business KPIs, growth metrics, execution milestones, and operational health indicators.
- Track plan vs. actual business performance, identify gaps, root causes, and execution risks.
- Drive structured monthly / quarterly business reviews with CEO and Executive Team.
- Ensure performance discussions focus on business outcomes & decisions, not just reporting.
3. Strategic Initiative & Execution Oversight
- Act as the central owner for cross-functional strategic initiatives (growth programs, transformation initiatives, new business models, major bets).
- Monitor execution progress, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.
- Surface early warning signals and propose business-driven corrective actions.
- Ensure initiatives stay aligned with company priorities and resource reality.
4. CEO & Executive Team Partnership
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and Executive Team on business performance, growth strategy, and execution effectiveness.
- Support executive decision-making with business insights, scenarios, and options, not just numbers.
- Prepare CEO-ready and Board-ready business planning & performance materials.
- Help the leadership team balance short-term execution vs. mid-term business objectives.
5. Cross-functional Alignment & Governance
- Work closely with Business Heads and Functional Heads to drive planning discipline and execution accountability.
- Challenge assumptions, clarify priorities, and drive trade-off discussions when needed.
- Partner with Finance, HR, Product, Ops, and Tech to ensure plans are realistic, executable, and aligned.
- Act as a neutral integrator across functions business-first, not function-biased.
