JOB PURPOSE

Acts as the technical specialist responsible for the installation, operation, advanced troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) and electrical infrastructure.

The role ensures the continuous, stable, and accurate operation of runway/taxiway lighting, signage, Constant Current Regulators (CCRs), apron illumination, and critical backup power systems (UPS, generators) to guarantee safe aircraft surface movements and uninterrupted flight operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

I. System Operations & Maintenance

  1. Lead the installation, operation, and preventive/corrective maintenance of the airfield lighting systems, signage, and Constant Current Regulators (CCRs).
  2. Operate and maintain electromechanical equipment, including low-voltage power supply cabinets, backup generators, UPS systems, and apron lighting systems (including T1, T2, and remote parking bays).
  3. Perform periodic inspections and maintenance according to equipment requirements and corporate technical management regulations.

II. Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting

  1. Continuously monitor the operational status of assigned equipment, proactively detect anomalies, and take the lead in troubleshooting and rectifying complex technical faults within the airfield electrical systems.
  2. Respond rapidly to restore critical lighting and power systems under time pressure to minimize disruption to flight operations.

III. Regulatory Compliance & Safety

  1. Actively participate in the annual flight calibration of the aeronautical ground lighting systems to ensure compliance with aviation standards.
  2. Strictly enforce and comply with occupational safety, electrical safety (e.g., LOTO), fire prevention, and airside operational rules during all maintenance activities.

IV. Documentation, Planning & Regional Support

  1. Research, update, and draft technical maintenance procedures, operational manuals, and equipment history logs for assigned specialized systems.
  2. Compile technical dossiers for investment, repair projects, and the procurement of spare parts and specialized tools.
  3. Provide technical support, installation, and repair services for AGL systems at other regional airports in the North as assigned by the company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualification & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in electrical systems maintenance, preferably in airfield lighting, high-voltage substations, or a related safety-critical field.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Certifications in Occupational Safety (Group 3), HVAC maintenance, or specialized training in Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) are highly preferred.
  • Upon being hired, the candidate must undergo and achieve certification in specific training related to the operation and maintenance of aviation equipment.
