About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Engineer II for a technical pre-sales role. You will define solutions aligned with customer business and technical requirements, act as a trusted advisor, and work with leading technologies across cloud, cybersecurity, and emerging AI protection domains. This role places you at the center of the sales cycle, helping shape the future of secure, high-performance internet experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, becoming the trusted technical advisor.
- Support sales efforts by delivering technical proposals, demos, presentations, and proof-of-concepts.
- Manage the technical proposal process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
- Engage with customers to understand requirements and design tailored technical solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Product, Support) to resolve technical issues during trials, integrations, and post-implementation.
- Accurately scope implementation timelines and identify technical risks with mitigation strategies.
- Review solution configurations with Professional Services to ensure quality and correctness.
- Drive revenue growth by showcasing the value of the platform to prospective and existing customers.
Required Skills & Experience
- 67 years of experience in technical pre-sales, sales engineering, consulting, or customer-facing roles delivering technical solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience in Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing.
- Exposure to AI technologies and security of AI assets is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of Internet technologies: API security, content delivery, DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, TLS, and modern web architecture.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, storage systems, and developer tools.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a significant advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
- Passion for learning and adopting new technologies.
Preferred Background
Candidates coming from major cloud, security, or edge platform companies such as F5 Networks, Cloudflare, Fastly, AWS, Zscaler, Google Cloud, or similar vendors are highly preferred.
