The Role
We are seeking a dedicated
Senior Node.js Software Engineer to spearhead the development and integration of software components, creating seamless and efficient solutions to improve life science. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with multinational companies, expanding your professional horizons. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adapting to various time zones, particularly those in the US and EU, occasionally to facilitate effective collaboration with our international partners.
Location:
- On-site in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership and System Design: Provide technical leadership in system architecture, setting coding standards, and mentoring junior developers.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work with various teams to ensure software solutions meet business requirements, international standards, and objectives.
- Problem-Solving and Optimization: Tackle complex software integration challenges, optimizing system performance.
- Develop and Integrate Node. Applications: Create high-quality Node.js code and integrate diverse software components into cohesive solutions, with a focus on cloud computing and life sciences applications.
- Continuous Learning and Improvement: Keep up-to-date with new technologies, particularly in cloud computing and life sciences.
- Testing, Deployment, and Documentation: Oversee testing, deployment, and comprehensive documentation of integrated systems.
- Agile Development: Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle. This includes creating user stories and engaging in sprint planning to align development efforts with business objectives.
- Global Collaboration: Engage with multinational companies, demonstrating flexibility to occasionally adapt to US and EU time zones.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience: At least 4 years of professional experience in Node.js development, with a focus on software integration. Experience in cloud computing and life sciences is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Node.js, in-depth understanding of cloud architecture, experience with NoSQL and Relational Databases.
- CICD Tools: Able to design/maintain pipelines.
- Hand-ons experience with AWS Cloud Services.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities for complex integration issues.
- Leadership, Communication, and Teamwork: Exemplary leadership, interpersonal, communication skills for effective cross-cultural and cross-time zone collaboration. Experience in mentoring intern/junior developers.
- Language Proficiency: Professional Working Proficiency in English.
- Project Management: Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies with strong project management skills.
- Flexible working time: Ability to work with US and Czech Republic timezones sometimes as needed.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Python or Golang, particularly in building APIs or integrating with cloud-based services.
- Understanding authentication/authorization (OAuth2 / SAML.)
- We highly value experience in MLOps, ML infrastructure, and model training.
