About the role
- Title: Senior Software Engineer (BE)
- Function: Backend
- Reporting: Backend Lead
- Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
What you'll do
- Design, document, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java or Go services
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify bottlenecks and defects, and devise solutions to these problems
- Translate application User Stories and use-cases into functional applications
- Help to maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience as a Backend Engineer.
- Familiar with Agile development processes
- Good English communication, documentation and research skills.
- Strong in at least one programming language (prefer Java or Go). Flexible in learning any new languages suitable for the job.
- Good understanding of OOP and Design Pattern.
- Micro-service development using Spring or based on AKKA and gRPC.
- Message queue: Kafka, RabbitMQ.
- Experience with popular search engine frameworks: ElasticSearch, SOLR.
- DB skills (SQL/NoSQL): Performance optimization.
- Non-Blocking IO, Asynchronous processing.
- Experience with Kubernetes (big plus).
- Testing: TDD, BDD (big plus)
- Familiar with Cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Familiar with using and understanding the macOS system and terminal.
- Spearheaded and product-oriented mindset.
