We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and operate the cloud platform powering GreenNode services. Your primary focus will be VKS, GreenNode's managed Kubernetes platform, enabling customers to provision, scale, and run production-grade Kubernetes clusters reliably and at scale.
Beyond VKS, you'll also contribute to other cloud platform capabilities such as networking, load balancing, infrastructure automation, and services that power modern cloud-native and AI workloads. You'll build new features while continuously improving and optimizing production systems with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain core components of our cloud platform, with a primary focus on VKS and Kubernetes cluster lifecycle automation (provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and self-healing).
Develop and operate Kubernetes Controllers, Operators, and CRDs that manage tenant clusters and cloud infrastructure components.
Build and integrate platform services with cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and load balancing, to deliver reliable, production-grade services.
Develop platform capabilities that support cloud-native and AI workloads, improving scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Operate and continuously improve production Kubernetes environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and maintainability.
Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines with a focus on automation, reliability, security, and deployment efficiency.
Collaborate closely with engineers across teams to solve infrastructure challenges, improve developer experience, and establish platform engineering best practices.
Stay current with Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and emerging infrastructure trends, contributing ideas that improve the platform.
Job Requirements:
4+ years of experience in software development, including designing and building scalable distributed systems.
Strong programming skills in Go, with experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Solid understanding of Go development practices, including interfaces, concurrency, testing, and error handling.
Good understanding of object-oriented design (OOD), SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Experience designing, building, or operating scalable and highly available production systems.
Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering teams.
Curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies.
Familiarity with Kubernetes development, including Controllers, Operators, CRDs, and the Kubernetes API.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, or load balancing services.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Helm, GitOps, or ArgoCD.
Practical knowledge of Linux systems and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with networking concepts such as L4/L7 load balancing, Ingress, service networking, and DNS.
Experience leveraging AI tools or AI agents to improve software development productivity and engineering workflows.
Exposure to AI infrastructure, GPU-accelerated Kubernetes environments, or AI platform technologies is a plus.
