This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Go/AWS) in Vietnam.
In this role, you will contribute to building scalable, high-performance cloud-based applications that enhance platform reliability, efficiency, and user experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain backend services while leveraging technologies like Go, AWS, SQL/NoSQL databases, APIs, and microservices. This position combines hands-on engineering with mentoring responsibilities, providing an opportunity to influence technical architecture and operational excellence. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, collaborate on design decisions, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure high availability and performance across critical services.
Accountabilities
- Participate in design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based backend services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues to ensure reliability and high availability of services.
- Conduct and contribute to design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select optimal technologies.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, refinements, and retrospectives.
- Document designs, code, and technical decisions clearly and accurately.
- Mentor and train entry-level software engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and operations to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- 57+ years of experience as a backend engineer with strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- 35+ years of experience developing high-performance, data-intensive applications in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Go (GoLang) and experience with other programming languages as applicable.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and procedural dialects (Snowflake Scripting, PL/pgSQL, TSQL, PL/SQL) and relational database platforms.
- Experience with data transformation frameworks such as dbt, sqlmesh, or Coalesce.
- Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, ELB, Lambda) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Experience with microservices architecture, APIs, REST/HTTP, containerization, and orchestration.
- Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, DocumentDB, MongoDB).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and related tools/processes.
- Knowledge of Customer IAM, including Single Sign-On (SAML & OIDC) and SCIM.
- Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and willingness to mentor others.
