Peddler.com / Pedder.express is a fast-growing on-demand marketplace connecting consumers with nearby retailers through real-time product discovery and instant delivery. Operating across major cities with hundreds of thousands of local products, our platform transforms fragmented retail data into structured, searchable, and sellable inventory at scale.
Our engineering team builds highly scalable systems spanning distributed services, intelligent logistics, real-time inventory processing, and modern AI-assisted development workflows.
This role is based in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services and modern frontend applications
- Translate complex business processes into efficient, maintainable engineering solutions
- Architect APIs, microservices, and distributed systems with strong reliability and performance
- Work with AI-assisted engineering workflows, including LLM agents for:
- Code generation
- Refactoring
- Testing automation
- Debugging
- Documentation
- Developer productivity tooling
- Collaborate closely with product, operations, and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to engineering best practices, architecture decisions, and system scalability
Required Skills & Experience
Core Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in fast-paced or high-performance environments
- Expert-level JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge with deep understanding of Node.js and the V8 engine
- Strong understanding of scalable software architecture, asynchronous programming, and non-blocking I/O
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservice-based systems
- Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 and JWT authentication
- Experience incorporating AI/LLM tooling into software engineering workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for clean, maintainable, scalable code
Backend Engineering
- Experience with transactional systems, persistence layers, and distributed workflows
- Strong knowledge of Node.js, Python, or C++
- Experience with MongoDB, Redis, GraphDB, or similar persistence technologies
- Understanding of design patterns and scalable backend architecture
- Bonus:

Frontend Engineering
- Advanced React / React Native expertise
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture and performance optimization
- Experience with bundle splitting and mobile-first development
