ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems based on microservices architecture.
You will work on production-grade systems that dynamically scale based on user demand and business conditions. The platform will evolve toward AI-powered products in the future, so interest and enthusiasm in AI technologies are highly valued (hands-on AI experience is not required).
ABOUT THE JOB
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices in production environments.
- Build backend systems that support horizontal scaling and controlled downscaling based on traffic and workload.
- Define service architecture, API contracts, and integration patterns across distributed systems.
- Implement containerized services using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and resource utilization.
- Apply best practices in API design, system integration, and backend engineering.
- Ensure security, stability, and observability of services (logging, monitoring, tracing).
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior/mid-level engineers.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams to deliver robust end-to-end solutions.
- Contribute to building a backend foundation ready to support future AI-driven features.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering (backend-focused).
- Strong experience building and operating microservices architecture in production.
- Solid proficiency in:
- Python (FastAPI / Flask preferred)
- RESTful API design
- Docker & Kubernetes
- Git, Bash
- Strong understanding of:
- Distributed systems
- Load balancing and autoscaling
- Performance tuning and scalability
- System reliability and fault tolerance
- Experience working with cloud-native environments is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in using English.
