Senior Social Media Executive (Marketing) Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Social Media Account Management
Manage and maintain the company's global core social media accounts, including Twitter/X, Telegram, Discord, Instagram, YouTube, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, and other platforms. Focus on key Web3 social channels, build and manage a social media account matrix, and develop differentiated operational strategies to ensure account activity, follower growth, and user engagement while communicating the brand's core values and credibility.
2. Content Strategy & Publishing
Plan and produce social media content aligned with Web3 industry trends, product updates, and marketing campaigns (such as AMAs, airdrops, trading competitions, and product launches). Content formats include tweets, short videos, graphics, interactive topics, and livestream scripts. Ensure content compliance, professionalism, and shareability, while adapting messaging to different platforms and regional user cultures.
3. Community Engagement & Management
Monitor social media comments, direct messages, and interactions in real time. Respond promptly to user inquiries, feedback, and requests, and establish efficient communication channels with users. Manage Telegram and Discord communities, organize community engagement activities, increase community activity levels, retain core users, and proactively manage negative sentiment to protect brand reputation.
4. Social Media Campaign Execution
Support global marketing initiatives and brand promotion plans by planning and executing social media campaigns (such as hashtag challenges, giveaway campaigns, KOL collaborations, and online livestream events). Collaborate with content and growth teams to ensure smooth campaign execution, increase exposure and participation, and drive user acquisition, conversion, and retention.
5. Data Monitoring & Optimization
Track key social media performance metrics such as follower growth, engagement rate, repost rate, conversion rate, and impressions. Produce regular performance reports and analyze content effectiveness and user preferences. Continuously optimize operational strategies, content formats, and posting schedules to improve efficiency and brand reach. Monitor competitors social media activities to identify best practices and build competitive advantages.
6. KOL & Partnership Collaboration
Collaborate with global Web3 KOLs, influencers, industry media, and social media creators to build long-term partnerships. Plan joint campaigns and co-branded content to expand brand visibility. Maintain partnership resources and track collaboration performance to ensure expected outcomes are achieved.
7. Compliance & Risk Control
Ensure all social media content and activities comply with global cryptocurrency regulations and platform policies. Prevent violations, misinformation, and FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt). Monitor potential public relations risks and develop contingency plans to protect the company's social media accounts and brand reputation.
Requirements
1. Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, New Media, or related fields preferred.
35 years of social media operations experience, with at least 2 years in Web3, cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech industries. Experience with leading crypto platforms or major Web3 companies (e.g., Binance, OKX) is highly preferred. Strong understanding of the Web3 ecosystem and user behavior.
2. Professional Skills
Strong knowledge of major global social media platforms, especially Twitter/X, Telegram, and Discord, which are key channels in the Web3 industry. Proven experience in account management, content planning, and campaign execution. Ability to independently manage daily account operations and produce high-quality content. Basic creative skills in writing engaging social media copy are required. Familiarity with video editing and design tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut) is a plus.
3. User & Market Sensitivity
Deep understanding of Web3 user personas, including regional user preferences and behavioral patterns. Ability to identify industry trends and user needs, and develop content and campaigns aligned with audience interests. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage users effectively and improve user retention.
4. Professional Qualities
Global mindset with strong English proficiency (both written and spoken) required. Ability to independently create English social media content and communicate with overseas users is preferred. Strong awareness of compliance and understanding of global cryptocurrency regulations to mitigate operational risks. Ability to work in the fast-paced and rapidly evolving Web3 environment, with strong learning ability, problem-solving skills, and resilience under pressure. Strong cross-team collaboration and communication skills are essential.
5. Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing overseas social media accounts.
Multilingual capabilities (e.g., Spanish, Vietnamese, etc.).
Experience creating viral Web3 content or executing large-scale campaigns.
Existing network with Web3 KOLs and influencers.
Basic data analysis skills to optimize marketing strategies through performance insights.
