Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Sales professional to join our Hanoi office in a full-time, on-site capacity. The role involves driving business development by identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The Senior Sales professional will collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific logistics needs and provide tailored solutions. Responsibilities include managing the entire sales process, delivering exceptional customer service, and offering training to team members where needed. Detail is:
1. Customer Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their shipping needs and providing timely assistance and support.
Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
2.Business Development:
Follow up potential customers to facilitate the sales process and convert rate quotes into bookings or gain feedback on Berkman's rate quote offers.
Source new leads and opportunities by making first contact with prospective customers.
Travel to and attend trade fairs, industry events and customer visits with Chief Business Development Officer on occasion.
3.Shipment Processing and Coordination:
Process customer booking requests efficiently in Berkman's internal system, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and compliant with applicable regulations.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth transfer of responsibilities.
4.Sales Support and Reporting:
Coordinate with the Procurement Team and ChiefBusinessDevelopmentOfficer on specific rates for service contracts and maintain communication with customers about service contract updates.
Coordinate with the Procurement Team to prepare quote rates in line with the customers requirements, benchmarks, expected volumes, and market conditions.
Generate reports and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Assist with account-level volume forecasts by monitoring planned versus actual volume performance.
Contribute to sales meetings and discussions by providing insights and recommendations based on customer feedback.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in foreign Trade, Maritime, Business or related field.
Having at least 3 or 5 years experiences in Sales Logistics
Prior experience in sales, logistics, and/or freight forwarding.
Effective communication skills in English and Vietnamese (spoken and written).
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
Solution focused, well-informed decision maker.
Ability to gain a working knowledge of software systems provided by Berkman within a reasonable time period, and proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness to attend industry events and engage in networking activities.
Ability to visit our Ho Chi Minh office several times per year.
Understanding of European/Western work ethics is a plus.
