Senior Robotics Software Engineer

Job Description

As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer at VinRobotics, you will lead the development of software components for our autonomous robot fleet. You will architect robust systems, drive advancements in robot autonomy, and mentor junior engineers, playing a key role in elevating the performance and reliability of our robotic platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and deployment of advanced software systems for robot locomotion and manipulation.

- Develop sophisticated tools for algorithm development, automation, visualization, and debugging.

- Conduct performance analysis and optimize robot behaviors through software enhancements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve hardware-software integration issues.

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making and architecture development.

- Drive innovative research addressing practical and high-impact problems in robotics and control.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience deploying software in real robotic systems.

- Deep proficiency in modern C++ and Python programming languages.

- Extensive experience with ROS2 and Linux-based development environments.

- Strong understanding of robotic system architectures and multi-layered software stacks.

- Deep knowledge of control theory and optimization techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with actuators, sensors, and embedded control systems.

- Practical experience working with multi-DOF industrial robotic arms or humanoid robotic platforms.

- Proven track record of integrating machine learning into robotic pipelines.

- Expertise in designing modular, reusable software for production-grade robotics.

- Familiarity with MATLAB, IsaacSim, Mujoco, and other simulation environments platforms for modeling, testing, and validation.
