Role Description This is a contract, on-site role for a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer based in Ho Chi Minh City. The Senior QA Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web and enterprise applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and regression test scenarios. The role involves collaborating with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements, define test strategies, and proactively identify defects and risks. Responsibilities include creating and reviewing test cases, performing manual testing when needed, analyzing test results, and providing clear, actionable reports to stakeholders. The Senior QA Automation Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, mentor team members on testing best practices, and support the integration of automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, with experience defining QA processes and test strategies.
- Hands-on experience designing and executing Test Cases and test scenarios across functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Proficiency in Manual Testing techniques, including exploratory testing and validation of complex business workflows.
- Demonstrated expertise in QA Automation, including building and maintaining automation frameworks and test suites.
- Experience with common test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit) and scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose practical solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead QA role
