We are looking for an experienced Senior QC Engineer to ensure the quality of Web/App products. The candidate will be responsible for building test strategies, designing test cases, performing manual and automated testing, and working closely with the Dev and Product teams to ensure the product meets high quality standards before release.
Job Description
- Test Strategy & Planning
- Build test plans and test strategies for each sprint/release.
- Analyze requirements (requirements, user stories) to define the testing scope.
- Assess quality risks and propose appropriate testing approaches (manual/automation).
- Test Case Design & Execution
- Write detailed test cases and test scripts for web (responsive, cross-browser) and mobile app (iOS/Android).
- Perform functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and UI/UX testing.
- Perform API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and system integration testing.
- Test Automation
- Build and maintain the automation test suite (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium for mobile).
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Optimize the test suite to reduce regression testing time.
- Defect Management & Reporting
- Log, classify, and track bugs through management tools (Jira, Bugzilla).
- Coordinate with Dev to verify and close bugs on schedule.
- Provide periodic product quality status reports (test summary report, dashboard).
- Process Improvement
- Propose QA/QC process improvements to increase testing effectiveness.
- Train and mentor junior/middle QC members on the team.
- Participate in quality assessment from the design stage onward (shift-left testing).
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of QC/QA experience in software, preferably Web/App products.
- Experience testing both web and mobile apps (responsive, cross-browser, cross-device).
- Solid understanding of API testing and database testing (SQL).
- Experience building an automation test framework from scratch is a strong plus.
- Proficient with automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
- Able to read and understand basic code (JavaScript, Python, or Java) to write test scripts.
- Proficient with test case & bug management tools: Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent.
- Understanding of CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Strong analytical skills, logical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with Dev, PM, and Product Owner.
- Able to work independently and lead junior/middle team members.
- Good reading comprehension of technical documents in English.
Nice To Have
- ISTQB certification (Foundation/Advanced).
- Experience in performance testing (JMeter, k6) or basic security testing.
