Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, product specifications, integration flows, and system architecture to define appropriate test strategies, scope, and quality plans.
- Design and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data covering functional, integration, regression, system, UAT, API, and non-functional testing.
- Perform end-to-end validation of financial transaction flows, reconciliation logic, data consistency, settlement processes, and exception handling across integrated systems.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve automation test scripts, reusable libraries, and automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Validate interfaces and integrations with internal platforms, third-party services, partner systems, and payment-related components.
- Execute backend testing and data validation using SQL to ensure data integrity, correctness of business rules, and transaction traceability.
- Log, investigate, prioritize, and track defects; collaborate closely with engineering teams to support root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, DevOps, and platform teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing, faster feedback cycles, and release quality.
- Apply AI tools to improve testing productivity, including test scenario generation, test case drafting, script assistance, test data preparation, and exploratory testing support.
- Proactively communicate testing progress, risks, blockers, quality concerns, and release readiness; support knowledge sharing and coaching of junior QC members when needed.
Required Experience and Skills
- 4+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with strong hands-on experience in manual testing across web, mobile, API, and integrated systems.
- Strong capability in test planning, test scenario and test case design, execution, defect reporting, and release validation.
- Practical experience in automation testing is preferred, including maintaining automated regression suites and supporting continuous testing activities.
- Hands-on experience in automation testing with frameworks such as Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium, is preferred.
- Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience in API testing using Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Good SQL skills for data validation and backend testing.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to support testing activities.
- Solid understanding of functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, performance, and automation testing.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum product delivery environments.
- Experience in Banking, Payments, Financial Services, Fintech, transaction platforms, switching systems, payment gateway, reconciliation, or digital financial products.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6 is an advantage.
- Knowledge of risk-based testing, test data management, security testing, auditability, and transaction traceability is an advantage.
