We are looking for a Senior QA Game Tester to ensure the quality, stability, and gameplay integrity of our Midcore Card Game.
This role requires strong analytical thinking, deep understanding of card/strategy systems, and the ability to design structured test coverage across complex gameplay mechanics and live updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Gameplay & System Testing
- Test and validate complex systems including card mechanics, skills, stats, synergies, deck-building, PvE and PvP modes.
- Verify balancing elements such as drop rates, rewards, economy systems, and progression flow.
- Identify edge cases, logical inconsistencies, and potential exploits in strategic gameplay systems.
- Perform regression testing for new cards, seasonal content, and live updates.
QA Process & Documentation
- Design and maintain structured test cases (functional, regression, exploratory testing).
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for gameplay features, monetization flows, UI/UX, and events.
- Write clear and detailed bug reports with proper severity and reproduction steps.
- Collaborate closely with Designers and Developers to clarify feature logic and expected behaviors.
Stability & Performance
- Test server-client synchronization and matchmaking stability.
- Validate build stability, performance consistency, and cross-device compatibility.
- Support release validation and provide quality feedback before go-live.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Game QA, with experience in Midcore or Strategy/Card games.
- Strong understanding of complex gameplay systems and balancing principles.
- Experience designing and executing structured test cases.
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proficient in Jira for bug tracking and task management.
- Experience using Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting live F2P games with regular updates.
- Understanding of economy systems and monetization validation.
- Basic knowledge of automation testing or scripting is a plus.
