About us
Automation Consulting Pty Ltd is a small, fast-growing Australian startup specialising in AI and automation consulting, helping businesses streamline operations with smart, scalable solutions. We are now building a Temenos delivery capability to support banking transformation projects across Southeast Asia.
Role overview
We are looking for a super senior Project Manager with deep, hands-on experience in Temenos implementations to join our growing contractor network. This is a pivotal role — you will lead end-to-end delivery of core banking transformation projects, working directly with clients and internal teams across Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates with confidence in English, and knows how to turn complex banking requirements into successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Temenos implementation and transformation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting
- Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders
- Oversee cross-functional teams across business analysis, development, QA, and operations
- Conduct requirement elicitation, gap analysis, process mapping, and solution validation with banking clients
- Define and track project KPIs, success metrics, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Support UAT, change management, and stakeholder adoption across client organisations
- Collaborate with Temenos product teams and internal technical resources to ensure delivery excellence
- Produce clear project documentation, status reports, and executive presentations
Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience delivering Temenos projects — T24 / Transact, Infinity, FCM, or Payments Hub
- Strong understanding of core banking domains — retail banking, payments, digital channels, or financial crime compliance
- 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in banking or financial services technology
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Experience in full project lifecycle delivery — from requirements through to go-live and hypercare
- Clear written and spoken English — you will work directly with Australian leadership and regional banking clients
- Strong ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a remote, async environment
Nice to have
- Temenos certification (TLC) in any product area
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
- Experience delivering projects through Agile ways of working, including JIRA or Confluence
- Prior experience in a consulting or systems integration environment
- Exposure to Southeast Asian banking regulations and market context
What we offer
- Competitive contractor rates
- Flexible working hours for work-life balance
- Partnership approach — work with us, not for us
- Collaborative and nurturing environment
- Knowledge sharing and skill enhancement opportunities
- Respectful and inclusive team culture
- Long-term opportunity with ongoing projects and growth potential
- Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and business expenses
