Senior Project Portfolio Management (PMO) Specialist
About the Role
Vietbank is looking for an experienced PMO professional to drive enterprise-wide project governance, portfolio management and strategic transformation initiatives. This role plays a key part in establishing best practices, overseeing project portfolios and ensuring successful delivery of the Bank's strategic programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve the Bank's Project Management Framework, methodologies, policies and governance standards.
- Manage and monitor the enterprise project portfolio, ensuring alignment with the Bank's strategic priorities.
- Review and evaluate new project proposals, providing recommendations based on business value, resource capacity and strategic alignment.
- Lead or coordinate strategic transformation projects, ensuring effective scope, schedule, budget, risk and stakeholder management.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify cross-project dependencies and proactively mitigate delivery risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for project sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Standardize project documentation, governance processes, templates and reporting mechanisms.
- Build enterprise project management capabilities through knowledge management, lessons learned and PM training initiatives.
- Promote continuous improvement across project delivery practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics or related disciplines.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Project Management Office (PMO), Project Portfolio Management or Enterprise Transformation.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Digital Transformation or Consulting.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, portfolio management, project lifecycle and PM methodologies.
- Experience managing strategic, cross-functional enterprise projects.
- PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-PMOCP or other international Project Management certifications are highly preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence or similar platforms is an advantage.
