1. Job Purpose / Summary
The primary objective of this role is to provide comprehensive support to the Project Manager in overseeing all Civil & Structural (C&S) and Architectural engineering matters.
The ideal candidate will possess a dual-expertise background: approximately 6070% of their experience should be focused on Site Management (execution, progress control, and quality inspection), while 3040% should be focused on Design Management (review, optimization, and authority submissions). The scope spans the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that technical designs are translated accurately and efficiently into physical construction.
2. Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Program Management: Assist the Project Management team in tracking and ensuring the successful execution of the Master Implementation Program.
- Design Review & Optimization (3040% focus): Review, evaluate, and optimize C&S designs prepared by external consultants to ensure technical efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Site Execution & Monitoring (6070% focus): Monitor all C&S and architectural activities on-site, including drawing issuance, technical implementation, and construction progress.
- Alternative Solutions: Conduct detailed evaluations of alternative C&S designs and implementation solutions to resolve project-specific challenges.
- Financial & Progress Control: Supervise construction progress and manage progress billing/payment certifications for the project.
- Site Quality Assurance: Ensure Site Supervisors conduct rigorous inspections and testing, maintaining accurate documentation of all reports and results.
- Authority Liaison: Coordinate with relevant government authorities to secure necessary approvals for C&S engineering and infrastructure components.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the technical interface between internal departments and external consultants regarding engineering and infrastructure operations.
- Meeting Representation: Attend and contribute to Site Meetings, Construction Implementation & Quality Control Meetings, and official inspections with Authorities.
- Policy Compliance: Monitor the strict implementation of Quality Control (QC) policies by the Project Secretary to achieve required quality standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) protocols within the work scope and workplace as mandated by the company.
3. Person Specifications
- Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
- Experience: * Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience with engineering consultants or real estate investors.
- Proven track record with a balanced portfolio: 6070% in Site/Construction Management and 3040% in Design Management/Coordination.
- Specific Skills: * Advanced knowledge of C&S engineering and modern construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in both technical and non-technical project management.
- Personal Qualities: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
