Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable PMO Coordinator with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and structured reports. This role requires a data-driven approach to ensure project visibility, alignment, and execution across multiple stakeholders.
The PMO Coordinator will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and optimizing project execution, working closely with cross-functional teams to assess manufacturing capacity, resource allocation, and operational constraints. The role demands proficiency in Power BI and the ability to develop automated reporting dashboards to enhance project transparency.
This is a critical role in maintaining strategic project governance, ensuring new and transfer projects are evaluated, prioritized, and executed efficiently without negatively impacting ongoing operations.
Project Governance & Coordination:
- Act as the single point of contact for project intake, working closely with external project managers and internal teams.
- Define and implement standardized project tracking systems to provide real-time visibility on project status, risks, and resource allocation.
- Develop and enforce project governance standards, ensuring clear documentation, approval processes, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate project reviews, ensuring alignment between Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Factory Capacity & Resource Planning:
- Collaborate with Industrial Engineering and Production Planning to determine factory capacity before accepting new projects.
- Assess the impact of new projects on ongoing operations, preventing resource overload.
- Work closely with Process Engineering to evaluate tooling, manpower, and process readiness.
Reporting & Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Create and maintain weekly project status reports for senior management, ensuring transparency on milestones, blockers, and next steps.
- Utilize Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools to develop interactive dashboards for tracking project progress and factory performance.
- Implement KPI tracking for NPI projects, ensuring data-driven decision-making across departments.
- Provide structured insights to optimize project prioritization and resource allocation.
Process Improvement & Risk Management:
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in project execution workflows and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with Engineering and Operations teams to enhance the efficiency of the NPI (New Product Introduction) process.
- Mitigate risks by proactively analyzing historical project data and improving forecasting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools.
- Solid understanding of capacity planning, resource management, and process optimization.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, structured reports for senior leadership.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Plus)
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence methodologies (Plus).
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as SMT, Wave, Box-build, and Assembly (Plus).
