ABOUT THE JOB
As a Senior Project Analyst (Finance & Change Management focus), you're responsible for ensuring the effective triage, assessment, prioritisation, and modelling of new demand across the organisation. This role operates at operational levels, supporting the end-to-end demand management process, from intake and assessment to financial and non-financial viability modelling. The role requires a blend of financial acumen, change management, data modelling fundamentals, and delivery management experience to support evidence-based prioritisation and successful delivery outcomes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Maintain and update demand registers, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and present high-quality reports, analysis, and recommendations for governance forums and executive audiences
- Collate and validate operational, delivery, and financial impact data from multiple stakeholders
- Liaise between delivery teams, operational functions, and governance forums to close information gaps and ensure alignment
- Support continuous improvement in demand management and benefit realisation processes by embedding best practices and lessons learned
- Update demand and capacity tracking tools regularly, maintaining demand register, ensuring accuracy, and tracking changes
- Collate information from multiple stakeholders to prepare prioritisation packs, assisting in gathering operational and delivery impact data, ensuring it is complete for assessment
- Assist in maintaining transparency and accessibility of prioritisation records for governance and stakeholders, compiling and formatting data, insights and decisions for governance packs
- Track domain invoice payments and obtain endorsements from senior leadership
- Assists in the day-to-day management of the domain's financial performance function. Including vendor financial management, oversight of invoicing, operational FTE reconciliation, enrolment, and membership costs.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Good understanding of project management principles and key phases of project delivery, with demonstrated experience working in an agile environment
- Strong ability to manage, analyse, report and negotiate on project budgets and costs, and help Project Managers with Funding Submissions and understanding of financial treatments
- Experience working with financial workbooks (i.e. maintain cost plans, actuals, forecasts, reference data) is mandatory for the role
- Competence in reporting, in developing and maintaining accurate records/ papers/ presentations
- Fundamental knowledge of financial performance monitoring and invoicing processes
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Good Excel skills, Power BI is a plus
- Detailed knowledge of how to maintain and manage Risks & Issues Registers and provide governance over Change Control process, providing reporting at project and program level
- Good understanding of how to identify and track project dependencies and maintain project plans
- Strong Stakeholder Management skills with the ability to challenge where needed, and to influence positive outcomes
- Experience with Clarity, Rally
- Prior project experience in the Banking and Financial Services Industry is an advantage.
