Job Purpose
Support profitability and growth of the cards and lending portfolio by analyzing performance, generating insights, proposing solutions, and evaluating results — treating this as a continuous, closed-loop cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze — Track and monitor portfolio revenue, cost, and profitability (P&L) across card and lending products and key customer segments, working closely with BP&A, Risk, Card Ops, and Product teams.
- Diagnose — Investigate the drivers behind performance trends (revolving rate, yield, cost of risk, channel economics, pricing) using bureau data, behavioral scores, and cross-functional data sources.
- Propose solutions — Turn analytical findings into concrete recommendations: pricing adjustments, risk-adjusted yield targets, portfolio actions, and channel/product optimization ideas.
- Support implementation — Work with Risk, Product, and Operations teams to help execute recommended solutions and ensure alignment with risk-reward objectives.
- Evaluate & iterate — Track the actual impact of implemented actions against targets, summarize learnings, and feed results back into ongoing analysis — closing the loop for the next cycle.
- Other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in banking/financial services, with direct hands-on experience analyzing card and/or lending products — not just reporting, but using data to identify problems and propose actionable solutions.
Skills:
- Solid understanding of the analytics-to-action cycle: data → insight → solution → evaluation
- Good grasp of card/lending business financials (P&L, yield, cost of risk, revolving behavior)
- Strong data analysis skills (Excel/SQL and similar tools); able to translate data into clear, practical recommendations
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams (Risk, BP&A, Product, Operations)
Other: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work independently on assigned analyses.
