Job Description

Zalo Business Solutions (ZBS) is Zalo comprehensive suite of solutions that empowers businesses to operate, advertise, and serve customers effectively within the Zalo ecosystem. Our mission is to provide standardized and scalable tools that help enterprises and SMEs reach customers securely and optimize automated engagement workflows.

We are hiring a Senior Product Data Analyst to own the data foundation behind ZBS: the data model, the metric definitions, and the accuracy of the numbers we make decisions on. You will also build the reporting that runs on top of it, where better data lets AI deliver more, not just faster. This is a hands-on senior role with a lot of autonomy, sitting within a product team with engineering support for the pipeline work. Your first focus is to enhance the existing foundation and reporting so they are AI-ready. As the platform matures, you will grow into deeper analysis and decision support.

What you will do

Build the data foundation and metrics

  • Shape data that is already collected into clean, well defined metrics that product and business teams can trust;
  • Define and document the data model so metrics stay consistent across ZBS. When something is not yet captured, write the tracking specification and work with the PO and engineer to add it;

Build the reporting layer (primary focus)

  • Build and tune reporting that produces accurate dashboards, clear narratives, and useful guidance on what is going well and what needs attention, using AI to generate it;
  • Automate recurring reporting and cut the manual effort behind it, bringing in the business context the numbers need to make sense;
  • Keep the data model and metric definitions documented and rich enough for AI to produce correct, consistent output, and own how reporting is done for the team;

Turn data into decisions (grows over time)

  • Investigate the why behind the numbers and turn it into clear recommendations the team can act on;
  • Run funnel, cohort, retention, and segmentation analyses, and measure the impact of changes with A/B tests or before-and-after comparisons;
  • Use AI to surface and explain routine patterns, and dig in yourself on the questions that need real analysis;
  • Be the data partner that product and business teams rely on when making decisions.

What you will need

  • At least 4 years in data analytics or business intelligence, including ownership of a data model or reporting layer that other teams relied on;
  • Strong data modeling skills (dimensional and star schema, semantic layers) and experience defining governed, consistent metrics as a single source of truth;
  • Advanced SQL;
  • Strong analytical thinking and business judgment, with the ability to own deeper analysis as the role grows;
  • Analytics design: shaping existing data into the right metrics and specifying new tracking when needed;
  • Experience with AI-assisted or automated reporting, or a strong drive to build it: comfortable prompting AI tools, giving them the right context, and checking their output;
  • Has owned an analytics or reporting project end to end and communicates clearly with engineering, product, and business. People management is not required.

Nice to have

  • Python for data analysis and automation (for example Pandas);
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Superset, Power BI, Tableau, or Metabase;
  • Experience making data ready for AI tools, such as semantic layers, documentation, or text to SQL;
  • Experience across both product analytics and business or commercial data;
  • Experience with large scale data environments, or with B2B.
