Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update Ocean Freight rates for assigned trade lanes.
  • Negotiate, maintain, and strengthen relationships with shipping lines, co-loaders, and business partners.
  • Prepare and provide competitive quotations to support business development and customer requirements.
  • Monitor market developments, GRI, surcharges, capacity situations, and freight rate trends.
  • Support urgent requests and resolve pricing-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Sales, Booking, Customer Service, Operations, and other related departments to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Support RFQs, key accounts, and strategic projects as assigned.
  • Maintain pricing databases and ensure data accuracy and timely updates.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize pricing strategies and improve profitability.
  • Provide backup support across trade lanes to ensure business continuity.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Pricing within the Freight Forwarding or Shipping industry, preferably in Export FCL.
  • Strong understanding of Ocean Freight market dynamics, carrier management, and pricing strategies.
  • Good negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High sense of responsibility with a positive and collaborative working attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
