ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior PHP Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of backend systems, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and technical delivery. The role will be heavily involved in PHP/Laravel development as well as AWS → GCP cloud migration, while providing technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
JOB DESCRIPTION- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Design and develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Take ownership of system performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure across AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Participate in the migration of existing systems from AWS to GCP, ensuring system stability and performance throughout the migration.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering and coding best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and system improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
REQUIREMENTS- 7+ years of professional PHP development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Laravel.
- Solid experience in backend development and RESTful API design.
- Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly services such as Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, or equivalent.
- Experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience with or strong understanding of AWS → GCP cloud migration.
- Good understanding of Git and modern version control workflows.
- Knowledge of JavaScript is a plus.
