About the role:

We are seeking a senior, highly driven People Operations Specialist to fully own our HR & Operations function across Vietnam and the US. This role is critical to ensuring seamless, compliant, and efficient people operations while supporting a fast-growing, US-based AI startup environment.

The ideal candidate thrives in startup pace, takes full responsibility end to end, and is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Key responsibilities:

  • End-to-End HR Operations Ownership (VN & US)
  • Fully own HR Operations across the entire employee lifecycle for Vietnam and the US
  • Execute and continuously improve onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, benefits administration, and HR documentation
  • Act as the single point of accountability for HR operational accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Coordinate and oversee US payroll execution via Gusto and external vendors
  • Own payroll processing for contractors
  • Support compensation and benefits administration to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
  • HR Systems & Data Management
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HR systems, including Gusto (US payroll) and other HR platforms (e.g., Fidelity, performance systems)
  • Manage mass HR data changes, audits, and reporting requests with high accuracy
  • Maintain and continuously improve HR system documentation, SOPs, and user guides
  • Employee Support & Service Delivery
  • Serve as the primary contact and escalation point for HR-related questions from employees and managers in both Vietnam and the US
  • Handle sensitive employee matters with discretion, fairness, and empathy
  • Talent & External Coordination
  • Collaborate with recruitment agencies to support hiring needs
  • Partner with leadership on people-related and organizational initiatives as the company scales

Qualifications:


Required:

  • 6+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or HR Generalist roles
  • Proven experience owning HR operations end to end, ideally across multiple countries
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and execution skills
  • Strong English communication skills

Preferred


  • Experience working in a US-based startup or high-growth tech company
  • Experience supporting cross-border teams (Vietnam-US)
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
