Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior or Lead 2D Game Artist role based in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City. The person in this role will create and refine high-quality 2D assets, including characters, environments, UI elements, and visual effects that align with the game's artistic vision. They will collaborate closely with designers, developers, and other artists to establish and maintain a consistent art style across projects, from concept to final in-game implementation. Daily responsibilities include developing concept art, producing production-ready assets, iterating based on feedback, and ensuring assets are optimized for performance and usability. As a senior or lead, the role also involves mentoring junior artists, contributing to art direction, and helping define best practices and workflows for the art team.

Qualifications

  • Strong 2D art and illustration skills, including character design, environment art, and UI/iconography for games.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent digital painting and vector software.
  • Experience creating concept art, mood boards, and visual style guides to communicate and maintain a cohesive art direction.
  • Background in game asset production, including sprite creation, animation-ready assets, and optimization for various screen resolutions.
  • Understanding of color theory, composition, lighting, and visual storytelling in the context of interactive experiences.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams, working closely with game designers, developers, and producers.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide and receive constructive feedback, mentor other artists, and contribute to team workflows and standards.
  • Portfolio showcasing shipped titles or substantial game projects, highlighting 2D art and game-focused work.
  • Ability to work on-site in District 4 and communicate effectively in Vietnamese.
  • Relevant education in Art, Design, Animation, or equivalent professional experience in game development.
